The expected service life depends on usage frequency, maintenance practices, and the hospital’s internal procedures. Many hospitals plan for an economic service life (depreciation period) of 5–10 years for medical devices. With proper servicing and preventive maintenance, however, the RiEye Mk2S can remain in use for significantly longer. Several of our operating tables have remained in continuous clinical service for more than three decades.

Yes. A clearly labeled "LEVEL-0" button on the hand control returns the table to a completely horizontal position. The position settings can be configured during installation in collaboration with hospital staff. This function allows the table to be quickly positioned for emergency situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
RiEye Mk2S is primarily intended for adult patients but may also be used for older pediatric and adolescent patients, depending on patient size and clinical requirements.
Minimizing patient transfers improves patient safety, reduces the risk of falls and handling-related injuries, enhances staff ergonomics, and contributes to a more efficient clinical workflow. A completely flat position is rarely the most comfortable option for patients during procedures. By adjusting the backrest and leg sections, the patient can be positioned more ergonomically, reducing the need for additional cushions while improving comfort and making patient positioning easier for clinical staff.
Yes. An optional foot control is available and gives the surgeon greater freedom to fine-tune the table position during procedures. It can also be used to activate and recall programmed positions.
