The expected service life depends on usage frequency, maintenance practices, and the hospital’s internal procedures. Many hospitals plan for an economic service life (depreciation period) of 5–10 years for medical devices. With proper servicing and preventive maintenance, however, the RiEye Mk2S can remain in use for significantly longer. Several of our operating tables have remained in continuous clinical service for more than three decades.

Yes. A clearly labeled "LEVEL-0" button on the hand control returns the table to a completely horizontal position. The position settings can be configured during installation in collaboration with hospital staff. This function allows the table to be quickly positioned for emergency situations, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
RiEye Mk2S is primarily intended for adult patients but may also be used for older pediatric and adolescent patients, depending on patient size and clinical requirements.
Minimizing patient transfers improves patient safety, reduces the risk of falls and handling-related injuries, enhances staff ergonomics, and contributes to a more efficient clinical workflow. For ENT surgery, the RiEye Mk2S R6 and R7 models are the most popular options. Often equipped with a laterally adjustable headrest, providing improved surgical access and optimal positioning of the patient's head during ENT procedures.
Yes. RiEye Mk2S is a mobile operating table equipped with four large wheels (150 mm / 5.9 in). With a net weight of only 95 kg (209 lbs), it can be easily maneuvered by a single caregiver, reducing physical strain on staff while safely transporting patients in both seated and supine positions.
Yes. The R6 and R7 models are suitable for procedures under general anesthesia. The R7 model is particularly well suited for procedures under general anesthesia due to its generous dimensions (2030 mm / 80 in) and excellent stability.
The minimum patient seat height is 500 mm (19.6 in), making it easy and ergonomic for patients to sit down on the operating table without assistance from clinical staff. The low seat height also facilitates safe and convenient transfers from a wheelchair positioned alongside the table.
